Watersports-Schill
Terms & Conditions
Watersports-Schill
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Watersports-Schill (hereinafter referred to as "the School") and its participants. By confirming a booking, participants agree to the following conditions.
1. Participation and Safety Requirements
Participants confirm that they are confident swimmers, meet the skill requirements of the booked coaching programme and are physically capable of safely participating in watersports.
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by the coaches and local watersports centre staff. Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
The School reserves the right to exclude participants from activities if their behaviour poses a safety risk.
2. Liability and Personal Responsibility
Windsurfing and wingfoiling involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, injuries and changing weather conditions. Participants acknowledge these risks and are responsible for following safety instructions and exercising reasonable care.
The School is not liable for injuries or damage caused solely by risks for which it is not legally responsible.
Liability for injury to life, body or health caused by a breach of duty, as well as for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, remains unaffected. For other damage caused by ordinary negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage arising from a breach of essential contractual obligations, to the extent permitted by law.
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings unless the School is legally liable for their loss or damage.
3. Equipment Responsibility
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, equipment rental is not included in the coaching fee.
Participants arrange equipment rental directly with the local watersports centre and agree to its rental conditions.
Participants are responsible for handling rented equipment carefully and may be liable for damage caused by negligence in accordance with the rental agreement and applicable law.
4. Weather Conditions
Windsurfing and wingfoiling are weather-dependent activities. Suitable wind and water conditions cannot be guaranteed.
In case of insufficient wind or unsafe conditions, the School may adjust the programme and provide alternative coaching activities, including theory sessions, video analysis, equipment workshops, simulator training or SUP activities.
A lack of ideal wind conditions does not automatically entitle participants to a refund if the agreed coaching services are provided through suitable alternatives.
If essential agreed services cannot be delivered, participants retain their statutory rights.
5. Photo and Video Recordings
During coaching sessions, participants may be filmed or photographed for technical analysis, individual feedback and training purposes.
Recordings may be shared privately with participants as part of the coaching service.
The School will request separate voluntary consent before using identifiable photos or videos for promotional purposes, including social media, advertising or website content.
Participants may withdraw promotional consent at any time with effect for the future by contacting info@watersports-schill.com.
Further details are provided in our Privacy Policy.
6. Bookings, Cancellations and Travel Arrangements
To book, email info@watersports-schill.com. We’ll help you find the right equipment for your level and needs. Once you’re happy with the equipment arrangements and would like to book the coaching, we’ll send you an invoice for the €100 deposit to secure your place. You can pay the remaining €290 on site, or we can send you an invoice after the coaching. A booking is confirmed once accepted by the School and the agreed payment conditions have been fulfilled.
For standard group coaching camps, the following cancellation policy applies:
Your deposit will be refunded if you cancel at least 14 days before the camp starts.
Less than 14 days before the camp: The School may claim reasonable compensation for losses resulting from the cancellation, subject to applicable law. Saved expenses and replacement bookings will be taken into account, and participants may demonstrate that a lower loss or no loss occurred.
If we cancel the camp, we’ll refund all coaching fees you’ve paid — whether that’s your deposit or the full camp price.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Watersports-Schill provides coaching services only. Flights, accommodation and equipment rental are booked and paid for separately by participants directly with the respective providers.
Any mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
